I give Mike a hug in the morning as he leaves for work. It's always so nice to see my children. I do love them so much but I have a hard time saying it to them. I always miss them when they're not around, but they have their own lives now, which is how it should be and I'm proud that they have had the courage to make a life. Lauri drove me to LAX on her way to school and I hurried through the terminal so I could get a good seat. After checking in I got some breakfast and watched the people. I also picked up a Los Angeles paper to see what it's saying. Each city's paper is so different. Sure they have a lot of the same news but the presentation and emphasis is different. This paper had an article on different freeway driving styles. The article throws out streets and freeways like just everyone should know where they are. It's fun when you've been some new place for a few days and actually recognize the streets and places mentioned. We load in a frenzy as everyone is sure they're going to get stuck back by the bathroom. I'm as bad as the rest. I get in the front seats again and settle back for the flight. I nearly fall asleep coming back as I am tired but it's good to be back in Tucson. I decide to take the bus from the airport as I've never done that before. I change at the Laos Transit Center. That's a first for me too. I need to get down to the south side of town more. It takes nearly two hours and it's nice when I finally open my front door. Cat is happy to see me. I get my mail and bike up to the store for a few groceries then settle in to check my email and start catching up on my journal. It's been a good trip.
