I finished two more books today. The first was "Audition for Murder" by Susan Sussman. It was a good mystery. An interesting murder, throw in a theatre and a bunch of crazy actors, and a untypical loving and fun family in the suburbs, and an interesting detective who the main character has feelings for. Not a bad little mystery to whip through.

The second book, and this one did take me more than one day, was "Eat the Rich" by P J O'Rourke. Well done! It's first book on economics that I've read that is understandable and not just a lot of gobbledy gook. I'll grant you that I basically agreed with his premise which is that free enterprise, free trade, is good when it is combined with a system of laws that protects individuals from the people that don't care about individual rights. PJ added some weight to my ideas and help explain them. As always, he did it while making an interesting and humorous read.

I have a wedding to go to at the end of the month. Weddings are so difficult nowadays. First of all it's being held at Pinnacle Peak which is a western restaurant and fun place. Now what do I wear? I just don't know if jeans are appropriate, besides, jeans and tshirts with tevas, which is what I wear, really aren't all that western. Secondly, I still feel that weddings require at least a dress of some kind. I'm usually the one that is underdressed, but now I'm not sure. You can't read an ettiquette book on this stuff anymore.

So I went to the mall to see what I could find. Nothing really. I do need dressier clothes but they all look so boring. I take that back. There are many lovely clothes but I would only be able to afford a few and I would get very bored with them. And picking them would be difficult. And they never look that good on me. I love the long slim look and I'm just not long and slim anymore. It's hard to have a 20 year old self view in a 52 year old body.

I've separated out the books I read in my topics page and given them a page of their own. Now I can link to just the books from an outside page. Every since Globe put the banner on the pages instead of the popup it's messed up my internal links.
