I woke up ready to go this morning only to hear that there was a major earthquake in California. I almost called my son but the news said there wasn't much damage at all in the Los Angeles area and since it was 7:00 I figured they would still be asleep. I did call him later in the day and they were, as I thought, fine. It did wake them up though.

They go climbing in Joshua Tree, in fact they have a trip planned for two weeks from now, and I had a vision of them climbing when a quake hit.

Since I was in a good mood this morning I decided to donate blood. It's been two months and I do try to go in as often as I can. It's something I can do, I bleed well and have lovely veins; the nurses always comment on it. They were rather slow today. You never know and sometimes I've gone in and they've been swamped.

It was nice wandering around today. I just missed all the buses so I walked up to the supermarket to get some money and then up to the shopping center to get something for breakfast. It didn't get very warm all day. A couple times while clouds came over, I even felt just a bit chilly. Lovely.

After giving blood, I took the bus to Park Mall to see how their construction is coming. Two of the three major malls are undergoing massive construction and I enjoy watching how the construction is progressing. It's nice to spend time on Broadway as the buses run every 15 minutes on Saturday and 20 minutes on Sunday. This is the best bus route in Tucson and it makes shopping so much easier.

I looked at clothes as I got this vision of me in some nice black outfits looking so spiffy. I doubt that I would look spiffy in anything but I did check out black clothes. For some reason all the black clothes are more expensive. Do only high class, rich people wear them? Excuse me! I just want a nice outfit so I can look somewhat professional once in a while.

My biggest problem is the shoes. I still have not found any black shoes that look professional but are comfortable. Really comfortable. Shoes that I can walk a couple miles in with no problem.

Forbes is really a scumball. He's saying that he will stop ads attacking Bush if Bush will debate him. That's blackmail. I applaud Bush for basically telling Forbes to go to hell. Bush seems to tell most people that he's not going to give them what they want. The other big issue was about cocaine use where Bush told them that he told them he could meet the White House question of, I think, 14 years and as for the rest, that was none of their business. Bush is growing on me.
