Thursday, October 21, 1999I'm already bored with the next presidential election. I can't get excited about anyone. I might even vote libertarian again just to show a lack of interest in government. Clinton is such a disaster. I heard that they had to cancel a $5000.00 a head fund raiser that Clinton was going to speak at because they couldn't get enough people interested. Bradley seems like a nice guy but he's about as interesting as Gore (well maybe a little more interesting than Gore). Dole has dropped out. I rather liked her. She was plain spoken and straight forward and is probably more capable than any of the other candidates. George Jr. I can't really decide about. He's done a good job as governor, I think. Well as good as anyone can do with Texas. It's hard to know what he's really like. He's just too relaxed to be believable. Our local election boredom is the water issue. Should we or should we not drink CAP water. That's Colorado River water brought to us across the desert in canals at a multi, multi million dollar cost. It's full of all kinds of stuff and the first time they ran it through the residential pipes here people in older houses had their water pipes corroding away. If we don't drink it what do we do with it. I have not a clue as to whether or not to vote for the bill that's up in the November election because both the pro and con people only tell us what they want us to hear. A bunch of us at work got together and pay for bottled water there. Cat is bouncing around right now. She's so cute when she starts playing the mighty hunter and acting like she was still a kitten. She's about 13 years old now but you wouldn't know. Her sister, from the same litter, has gray fuzz under her hair but my cat doesn't. She still seems much the same as when she was younger. She's not a snuggler except at night when she sleeps with me but what would I do without her. Enough. I'm tired. Everyone at work is tired also. We need to all take a few weeks off and just sit at home and veg out.
