I won a New Years Basket at work today. It has non-alcoholic wine, a couple plastic wine glasses, several noise makers, a chocolate rose, a candle, a really cheesy New Year tiara and some aspirin and alka seltzer. It's fun, though the basket it came in is of more use to me than the contents. I don't think I'll need them since I'll probably celebrate with my usual one beer and be in bed by 10:00.

To further the holiday spirit, I wrapped presents tonight. This is a milestone. Usually I'm frantically wrapping just before we open presents. Ok, sometimes I wrap some a few days early but it's not a habit with me. In fact my wrapping paper has some worn fold lines from having bought it so long ago. It hasn't been used, just stored. I don't go through wrapping paper very fast.

One more day at work! I am so relieved but also a little stressed as I know I have so much to do in just a couple days. I have to finish cleaning, for one thing, and have a few things still to buy. Still it is so good to know that I will have ten days off and have family to spend Christmas with. We did eat today. We ate, and ate, and ate. We ate junk food and it was so good!

I am tired and yawning as I type so I'd better go to bed and get ready for the last day of work this year, century, millenium, whatever.
