Just knowing we would probably get to leave early (and we did) didn't help any. I felt like I was marking time and wanted to either go to sleep or leave. It wasn't that I didn't have work to do, I did and I was doing it, it was just that I wanted to go home for Christmas break.

It was nice to get off in the middle of the afternoon and walk out into the sunshine. I did a little shopping and was still home by the time I usually get home. I could get used to this. One of the best things about being off during the week is that the buses are going on a fairly decent schedule instead of the reduced schedule I have to work with on the weekends. Tomorrow is on a weekday schedule also so I'm going to be able to get stuff done.

We also got our December 31st paycheck as the university is closed till January 3rd. I have written checks to pay all my bills and my rent and now just have to make sure I have enough money to eat on till January 14th. That is a long time without a paycheck. It's nice getting the cash before Christmas but you do need to be careful.
