I had to go for a mammogram today. That is such a difficult medical procedure for women. I always feel so exposed and vulnerable. I got an early appointment since you aren't suppose to put on deodorant till afterwards. I left home while Mike and Lauri were still asleep and enjoyed a nice walk to the clinic with a detour to get more cash. It was crisp and clear and I enjoyed the walk, if not the mammogram. I was through soon and it wasn't too bad.

Dan and Beth picked up Mike and Lauri to climb today. I was invited but I didn't feel like sitting around watching them climb. I wasn't going to climb and I wasn't sure if I could stand to watch Mike climb. I can remember being terrified watching Mike and Lisa playing near heights even after I knew they had enough sense to not fall off. Mike loves climbing so much and I'm so glad that he got to climb with Dan and Beth who also have a real passion for it. Beth looked so good with her newly streaked hair.

I did a little running around town. It was nice to have a car and I stocked up on some heavy items at the supermarket and ran a couple errands. It's so t when you have a car! It's when running errands that I miss not having a car the most.

I spent the afternoon in Catalina talking with Diane and helping get supper ready for the climbers. I enjoyed it very much as I don't spend much time just talking with someone, especially another woman. Diane is also such a good person to chat with. My brothers have been very lucky in the women they married. The climbers came back hungry and we had a good meal together. Eating again!

While Dan and Mike bonded with Monday night football, the rest of us took off for a looong drive to drop off Matthew at some friend's house, pick up more medical supplies for Diane's thumb, and tell stories about each other. Too soon we said goodbye for what will probably be much too long a time.

When we got home, late that evening, there was a message to call the clinic back. This happened last year too as I am not even photogenic in xrays. It worries me, though, and I'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out.
