The regular bus stations range from places that should be condemned (let us say that I prefer to use the toilet on the bus than the toilet in these bus stations) to very nice ones such as the Portland, Oregon bus station or the Meridian, Mississippi bus/train station. Even the best have a struggle staying ahead of the flow of very tired and very hurried passengers that have no interest in not trashing the place. I've seen the smallest bus station (at least at that time) in Gold River, Oregon, the one that always seems to be the busiest and most multicultural, Los Angeles, and the venerable Port Authority in New York City.
