Robert Anton Wilson

  • About

    • Robert Anton Wilson wrote, with Rober Shea, the definitive novel on conspiracy theories The Illuminatus!. The is without a doubt one of the funniest, most confusing book I have ever read. My copy is paperback and it runs a whopping 805 pages. There are so many characters, having so many names, many of them with more than one name, and changing so often that you soon become rather disoriented. It brings together every conspiracy theory for the last 500 years and makes them all seem plausible and idiotic.

He also wrote quite a series of books on his philosophical theories which make The Illuminatus! seem not that strange. They do make me think about what I do believe, or rather, have been told I should believe, and wonder if maybe I've been told wrong. There are two kinds of books, those that confirm what you believe and those that make you question what you believe. Wilson writes the second kind.
